INTRODUCTION
Innovation Norway administers and manages Norad's Business Match Making Programme (BMMP), which is funded by Norad as part of the Norwegian development cooperation with Vietnam for a 3-year period from 2010 to 2012. This is the revised version of the Trade and Industry program Vietnam-Norway (TIP) from 2007-2009.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of BMMP is to establish sustainable and profitable business ventures between Norwegian and Vietnamese partners. This is achieved through the development of business partnerships which foster transfer of technology and the exchange of management and business skill.
BMMP has a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility by emphasizing the participants’ attention towards ethical behaviour, anti-corruption, fair salary, female equality perspective and HES (Health, Environment and Safety) in their business operations.
TARGET GROUP
The programme is primarily aimed at Norwegian small and medium-sized companies which, on the basis of their technology and resources (human and financial) have the potential for commercial cooperation with Vietnamese companies.
The cooperation should be long-term and should contain an element of investment, which can vary depending on the needs and requirements of the individual company.
Cooperation can be established in the form of a joint project, outsourcing, licensing, partnership/joint venture or setting up a Norwegian presence in the market.
