A Taste of Norway in Dublin
On the 9th of June a promotional event - A Taste of Norway - was held in Dublin.
The event was jointly funded by Innovation Norway, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dublin and the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (EFF), and was aimed at promoting tourism to Norway and Norwegian seafood. Patrick Daly and Anni Glesaaen from Innovation Norway helped arrange the event and EFF funded the visit of two Norwegian chefs from the Culinary Institute in Stavanger including Michelin star chef, Daniel Rouge Madsen who prepared a fantastic buffet.
The event was attended by about 70 guests, which included travel and food press, travel agents, seafood wholesalers and importers. Visit Oslo, SAS, Tumlare and Nordic Exposure represented the Norwegian travel trade and several Norwegian fish exporters also travelled to Dublin for the event.
The event was judged a great success by all the participants and served to highlight the opportunities in the Irish market, to raise the profile of Norway as a tourist destination and to promote Norwegian seafood and culinary skills.
