All Energy 2010

Innovation Norway again hosted a Norway Pavilion at All Energy 2010 – the premier renewable energy exhibition that took place for the 10th year in Aberdeen during 19th and 20th May.
Norway was the first nation to have a country pavilion at this event and despite the general economic conditions, this year saw a 50% increase in the number of exhibitors on its pavilion, meaning extra space was needed than in previous years.

Six companies lined up to an audience of key energy and environment professionals and press. Norway Pavilion stalwarts Langlee Wave Power and SmartMotor returned following successful experiences in previous years (this was their 4th and 2nd time on the pavilion respectively) and were joined by Seaproof Solutions, Gazelle Technology, BI Norwegian School of Management and Wind Cluster Mid Norway who shared their area with the Navitas Network and Cleantech Mid-Norway.

As well as the Norway Pavilion growing, the whole show did too, with the number of exhibitors increasing from 380 to 450 and the number of participants increased by almost 1,500 to a staggering 6,900 from over 60 countries.

Innovation Norway hosted a well attended reception on the Pavilion at the end of the first day which provided a further opportunity to make business contacts. There was also more formal networking via the matchmaking organised by our colleagues in the Enterprise Europe Network in cojunction with Scottish Enterprise as well as a networking event we organised along with the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce and local firm Simmons & Company.

Overall it was a great success and we look forward to even greater Norwegian participation at All-Energy 2011!
