Innovation Norway is one of the government's most important innovation policy instruments. As policy makers we are expected to be a key driver in this transformation process. Ministries and politicians are looking for new, specific, policies regarding the development and restructuring of markets and regions.

We are facing challenges that will not disapear by themselves. This includes climate changes and its environmental and social consequences. Norway needs to gradually reduce its dependency on oil and gas, and replace much of the petroleum industry with more sustainable activitiess.
