This is an event aimed at start-ups, growth companies and new employees in companies established in the humanitarian market designed to give you a sense of where and how to start your approach to the UN- and humanitarian market.

The aim is to have you leave with a draft market strategy and a “to-do”-list of what to do next. You will have an overview of the market, but also a clear understanding of how you can be successful in selling your products and services to the market. We will look at how the tender portals work introduce you to best practice when responding to a call for tender based on the experience of some of the most successful and experienced Norwegian companies in the market. You will learn all the dos and don'ts when writing a tender and how to best follow-up. You will be updated in the most important terms and their significance and we will look at trends in the market.

10:00 - 10:30 Introduction to NOREPS, Innovation Norway and the UN Market

We will look at the market and how it operates. Size, sectors, procurement processes, events - we will identify the general trends and statistics and guide you in your search for your market relevance. In addition, we will introduce you to NOREPS and our assistance as well as Innovation Norway in general.

10:30 - 11:30   Introduction to tender monitoring and response in the humanitarian market

The easiest, and many times the only, way to get a sales contract with the UN or a NGO, is through a tender process. But how do you best navigate all the tender web sites? How to keep track of them all? What is the difference between a RfQ and a RfP? When and how should a company respond to a relevant call for tender?

Without doubt the most relevant digital marketplace for the vast majority of Norwegian companies. As a consequence, we will spend some time looking into how it operates and how a company gets the most out of a registration

13:00 - 14:00 Sales & Marketing in a humanitarian context

What determines success? We will look at a successful case and investigate the determining factors. Where and when should you be present in the market? How do you build a network of relevant contacts and how do you utilize the network best?
