Spain is the fourth largest agri-food exporter in Europe and seventh in the world and it's consolidating its position as a foodtech nation with a flourishing ecosystem and great technological solvency. In this programme, we offer expertise and networks that could facilitate contracts in Spain.

The Spanish agriculture industry is focusing on a more efficient and sustainable agri-food system across the whole value chain and we see significant market opportunities for Norwegian agritech companies that provides more sustainable solutions, more efficiency and higher productivity.

On behalf of Team Norway Spain, we invite you to participate in the Global Growth programme for the Spanish agritech sector. The Global Growth export programme is Innovation Norway´s competency programme for established companies that are looking for international growth.

Who should apply

Companies with relevant products and services for the Spanish agritech market that have

a high level of ambition
an export strategy endorsed by the board
sufficient financial capacity
resources and ability to scale up

The programme will cover areas with the most interesting opportunities.

Planned activities

Based on identified needs in the Spanish agritech market, the programme consists of preparatory courses in Norway and gatherings in Spain where we plan for meetings with key players in the Spanish agritech industry.

Kick-off workshop in Norway: Get to know each other, definition of focus area and themes, needs and expectations. Introduction to Spanish agri-food tech market – tenders, actors, needs and learnings – and Spanish business culture. Pitch coaching sessions.
Preparation gathering (online): preparation for the first market visit.
First market visit: workshops and B2B meetings with key players in the industry.
Gathering in Norway: Debrief and how to follow-up after first market visit, and preparation for second market visit.
Second market visit: workshops and B2B meetings with key players in the industry.
Final gathering in Norway: follow-up after second market visit and debrief about the programme and way forward.

The market visits will take place in relevant cities or areas for Spanish agritech industry but be aware that the customer group or customer representatives to meet will be decided based on the participating companies' solutions and needs.

The programme will be designed in collaboration between Innovation Norway and the participating companies based on the companies’ profile and needs. We will further limit the programme to a specific market segment based on registered interest.
