Einar Gustafson is an advisor for defense industry cooperation at the Norwegian embassy in Washington, DC. In this role, he is the focal point for all interaction between the Norwegian government and the Norwegian defense and security industry in the United States. He is responsible for the Norwegian Ministry of Defense's (FD) delegations to all major defense industry events in the USA, and acts as a valued advisor to the FD management on issues such as American protectionism and closer integration of Norway's defense industry into the US defense industry. Rebecca Scheel has spent the last 15 years looking at economic development under different lenses. First as a researcher at the OECD in Paris, then managing an accelerator program in Copenhagen helping Danish startups enter the US market and fundraise, after which she worked as an entrepreneur. Rebecca joined Innovation Norway in May 2018 and currently employs her vast experience in bridging the gap between large tech companies looking for opportunities in the Nordic Region, primarily focusing on clean energy. Åse is the program director of TINC, our technology incubator program, and an industry specialist in IT and Digital Health. She has lived in Silicon Valley for 20+ years working at local startups, hardware and software companies. She has over 10 years experience in international product development and release, including 5+ years managing global products at a major enterprise software company in Silicon Valley. Kari Anne Lien is the Manager of Energy & Renewables at our Houston office. With a background in the energy industry, including global roles at ExxonMobil, she specializes in the Texas energy market. Kari Anne also assists Norwegian companies by identifying opportunities in the emerging renewables and clean energy sector. As a Senior Advisor at the Norwegian Consulate General in Houston, she has built a vast network and established strategic partnerships with industry clusters, associations, city administrations, innovation hubs, and academia. Kari Anne's expertise lies in analyzing market trends and communicating insights for promotional and market entry purposes. Preceding her tenure at McKinsey, Sharon focused on business development for early-stage start-ups in the US and spent 8 years as a logistics officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy. Sharon has a BA in Leadership and Logistics from The Royal Norwegian Naval Academy and MSc in Economics and Administration (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Sebastian is a Senior Advisor for the US market in our New York office. He specializes in supporting entrepreneurs and innovative SMEs with their US business development and helping them commercialize new product ideas and solutions. Before joining Innovation Norway, Sebastian was spearheading the economic development office of Berlin, which is responsible for the entire United States and is located in New York. He successfully co-founded his own company, raising venture capital, grants, and business angel money from notable investors such as Google DNI, the EIC Accelerator, Betaworks New York, among many others, while graduating from the Plug&Play Accelerator Tech Silicon Valley, German Accelerator Tech New York, Betaworks LiveCamp and more, giving him valuable insights into expanding into the USA.
