17/01/2022: Estonia, Small Grants Scheme on Green Industry Innovation and Welfare Technology

The Green ICT Programme in Estonia opens a small grants scheme with funding to projects on green industry innovation and welfare technology.

The call encourages cooperation between Estonian companies and partners in Norway. Enterprise Estonia and Innovation Norway can help find a partner!

The aim of the programme is to increase value creation and sustainable growth in Estonia’s private sector. 

It also aims to strengthen business cooperation on innovation between Estonia and Norway. Bilateral cooperation projects are encouraged!

Deadline

Thursday, 17 January 2022 at 12:00 Estonian time. 

The earliest possible start time for the implementation of small grant scheme projects is 1.05.2022. Projects can last until 30 April 2024 at the latest.

Available funding

Between 50,000 euro and 200,000 euro per project.

Grant rate depends on state aid selected and can be maximum of 50% of total eligible costs. 

Areas of support

The small grant scheme provides support for projects on: 

1. Green Industry Innovation

Funding is provided to develop and apply new green products and services that would lead to more sustainable processes and the use of resources.

Such projects could include the development and adoption of automation and robotics-based solutions aimed at increasing the efficiency of processes. 

2. Welfare Technology

Funding is provided to develop new products, services and processes in the area of welfare technologies. The projects should contribute to product, service and process developments in ICT and health sector companies as well as new solutions in welfare technology. 

Who can apply? 

Eligible applicants are private enterprises registered in Estonia, with no more than 25% public ownership. 

Who can be partner? 

Eligible partners are any private or public entity, commercial or non-commercial, established as a legal person in Estonia or in Norway, e.g. companies, non-profit associations, associations, foundations, universities.

Projects that include a Norwegian partners are encouraged with additional points in selection.
