Business Forum Tallinn
Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Norway will pay an official visit to Estonia on April 26th. Norwegian and Estonian businesses can register now to forge future project collaboration under the Norway Grants Business Programme.
The visit to Estonia will be part of the celebrations at the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
A number of events relevant for Baltic and Norwegian companies will be held in this context. Among others, Innovation Norway is organising a business event in connection to the visit in Tallinn.
Under the new period for EEA and Norway Grants, Estonia has received 23 million Euro for business development, innovation and SMEs. The resulting Green ICT Programme is currently being developed, the first call is expected in autumn 2018.
The business forum will be all about digital transformation. A lot of room will be given to networking and matchmaking. The programme will also thematise opportunities under the upcoming Green ICT-call in Estonia, as the Norway Grants business and innovation programme is called. Another session will cover solutions and challenges to realising digital societies.
The business forum on April 26th will provide an occasion to meet potential project partners and explore ideas for partnerships under the Green ICT calls. Although Norwegian companies cannot themselves apply for funding, they can be partners to projects under the Green ICT call.
From among the registrants, five relevant companies from Norway and Estonia each will be invited to make a short pitch to attract partners for a joint business project under the upcoming Green ICT Programme that will be launched early 2019. Eligible activities include digitalisation and robotisation of Estonian production, lean manufacturing, connecting robots and machinery, welfare technology solutions, ICT based solutions in transport, energy, smart cities, etc.
The participation fee for Norwegian businesses is 2500 Norwegian kroners. This includes participation in the Norwegian mingling dinner on April 25th, plenary opening session and parallel session on April 26th. Hotel and travel have to be covered individually.
