Do you have an idea for a business project within Lithuania that is related to innovative products, services, processes and digitalisation of industries? The Norway Grants Business Programme in Lithuania is a relevant funding source for Lithuanian businesses and Norwegian project partners. Norwegian companies operating within Green industry innovation or ICT sector can apply for travel support to the event in Vilnius.

The Agency of Science, Innovation and Technology in Lithuania, MITA, will launch calls at a total amount of 15 million Euro und the Norway Grants Business and Innovation Programme in Spring 2019. Norwegian companies and research institutes can participate in the projects as partners.

Main Target Group

The main target groups for the event are:

  • Companies registered in Lithuania,
  • planning on developing projects within Green Industry Innovation ICT, including the application of innovative research-driven technology and processes, i.e.
  • potential applicants and partners for the Norway Grants Business Programme in Lithuania.
  • Norwegian developers or suppliers of technologies or processes, as well as research institutes within the sectors of green industry innovation and ICT.

Norwegian Lithuanian Business Forum 2019

The Norway Grants Matchmaking will be held in parallel to the Norwegian Lithuanian Business Forum. This year’s programme includes best practice examples from Norwegian enterprises, development of green products and technologies, green cities and innovative sustainable projects.

The Norwegian – Lithuanian Business Forum is an annual event promoting cooperation, technology and knowledge transfer between Lithuania and Norway. Under this year’s slogan "Changemakers", the Forum invites to discuss opportunities arising from shifting towards sustainable economy and developing environmentally friendly solutions.

The Norwegian-Lithuanian Business Forum provides a brilliant umbrella for the Norway Grants Matchmaking, says Ina Sinkeviciute, team manager of the Business and Innovation Programme at MITA.

The Annual Lithuanian-Norwegian Forum provides an opportunity to explore Scandinavian business culture. This year, it will also gather like-minded businesses and relevant stakeholders to exchange experience on creation and development of green innovations.

"Companies developing green innovations and offering a wide range of green solutions- are at the core not only of Lithuania’s but also the whole Europe’s future. Such companies not only contribute to the development of sustainable environment and nature conservation, but also have a competitive advantage across Europe", adss Ina Sinkeviciute, team manager of business development and innovation programme at the Agency of Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA).

The organizers of the Forum are glad to announce that representatives of such well-known and internationally-recognized players from Norway as Orkla, Tomra Group and Fjord Bank, are going to give presentations at the Forum. Lithuanian businesses and governmental institutions will also participate in the event ready to share ideas and encourage each other to contribute to shaping sustainable societies worldwide.
