Polish-Norwegian Cooperation on Circular Economy - Event at POLECO Trade Fair in Poznan

POLECO International Trade Fair for the Environment in Poznań, Poland, is one of the largest trade fairs in Europe. The Norway Grants Programme in Poland support participation by Norwegian businesses at trade fairs in Poland. This year, 16 Norwegian businesses travelled to POLECO. They met with entrepreneurs from 46 Polish companies and attended an event on circular economy entitled "There is no waste - there are only raw materials". 

There is a high level of cooperation between Polish and Norwegian companies. event The event There is no waste - there are only raw materials focussed on business opportunities in the area of circular economy.

The event gathered 83 people from 46 companies in Poland and 16 people from companies in Norway. These were Polish and Norwegian entrepreneurs, startups and business environment institutions offering innovative solutions in the field of circular economy and recycling.

Circular Economy

The event included presentations on circular economy both in Poland and in Norway. Innovation Norway participated with a presentation.

The CellMat4ever project contributed with a presentation as well.

- As the manager of the CellMat4ever project implemented as part of Polish-Norwegian cooperation, I had the pleasure of giving a short presentation on the research assumptions being implemented, as well as the planned further cooperation with Norwegian partners. I am extremely grateful that I was able to share my knowledge as well as my experience during the event entitled "There is no waste - there are only raw materials," adds Bartłomiej Mazel from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań.

Polish-Norwegian Business Cooperation

The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and Innovation Norway are partners in the Norway Grants Programme for Business Development and Innovation, financed by Norway. The aim of the cooperation is to increase business cooperation between Poland and Norway in order to strengthen relations, competitiveness and vaue creation for innovative and green businesses. The event included a matchmaking, or business mixer, for the companies participating.

- POLECO International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection is the largest and most important conference and exhibition event for the climate protection, environment, municipal management and sustainable development industries. The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, together with Innovation Norway, traditionally marked their participation in this event by organizing a seminar and business mixer meetings in the field of circular economy and recycling in Poland and Norway. The business mixer meetings were an excellent opportunity to exchange the latest knowledge, establish Polish-Norwegian partnerships and create new business opportunities," says Justyna Kizlich of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
