Romania: Acquisition of car manufacturing equipment

Car manufacturing production
Ramira, one of Romania's most important suppliers of welding fixtures for the automotive industry, is extending its production line through the EEA and Norway Grants

In the beautiful region of Maramures, lies Ramira S.A. - a company based in the city of Baia Mare which operates within the automotive market, being one of the main manufacturers of important suppliers of welding devices in Romania for the automotive industry.

Achieving Milestones

Winning the project Development of RAMIRA SA through the acquisition of equipment has led to a new stage in the development of the enterprise. The new equipment acquired through the EEA and Norway Grants helped Ramira to achieve certain milestones which could not be achieved by the company in the past.

The main goal of the project is to reduce energy consumption with 10% out of the total yearly consumption, which has helped Ramira remain stable on the market by reducing dependence on other companies.

Although the pandemic has had an effect on the evolution of orders, Ramira has managed to remain stable on the market and attract young people to work on these modern machines.

Manufacturing of New Products

The portal milling machine, Trimill, is of strategic importance for processing large parts, especially since the existing portal milling machine is no longer functional and will be taken out of production. Replacing this machine will improve productivity and the company will have the opportunity to increase flexibility.

Trimill is in the final stages of assembly, and in December of this year, the training of the staff that will serve this equipment will begin.

The other machines are in production, already helping Ramira to improve and streamline the technological flow.
