The Romanian fabric company Majutex has successfully implemented a project for modernizing, improving and greening the production process of textiles in collaboration with their Norwegian partner International Development Norway AS.

Majutex is a Romanian company founded in 1991. The company produces fabrics, vertical blinds and textile rolls with the possibility to apply special treatments to fabrics. The company has partnered up with the Norwegian company International Development Norway for a project funded by the EEA and Norway Grants.

The project was initiated to improve the competitiveness of Majutex in the international market and to green the production process. It involves investment in new equipment, implementation of a green production line for textile products and realization of a research and innovation program focused on developing new, smart products.

Benefitting from the EEA and Norway Grants has been a key support for improving our company capacity to research, innovate and produce niche fabric products through R&D funding for developing two new products and through the purchase of personalized machineries allowing an updated production flow with a strong focus on green sustainable production processes. Innovation Norway is an excellent EEA and Norway Grants programme operator, flexible and focused on supporting our company to better understand our target market evolution, potential and direction in the next 10 years.
