Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) 2018
NOREPS will participate at the 4th Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW 2018) - the Leading Edge Programme's flagship event - on the 5th – 9th of February in Geneva, Switzerland. See updated information below.
A detailed program has now been published and there are several opportunities for companies to network, gain insight and participate in important discussions. There are open meetings on Monday where Public Private Partnerships will be discussed. The meeting will give first-hand insight to the current UN thinking on partnerships with the private sector.
The annual event for the Connecting Business Initiative will be held on Tuesday. Companies that are involved in one of the 40 networks participating in the initiative will certainly find the event relevant. Please note that the event is closed and attendance requires an invitation from a network.
Wednesday is the day where most companies will find the agenda relevant. It is an open day dedicated to a number of 10 minute presentations on innovation, networks and new technology. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A-session. One of the presentations will be on Augmented Reality and several Norwegian companies will be featured in the presentation and its accompanying stand/display. NOREPS is investigating to see if we can include a second presentation dedicated to health and sustainable energy.
All three days, and Wednesday in particular, represents excellent opportunities to network with officials from a range of UN agencies. The networks are attended by high ranking officials and the discussions will inform decisions on the future use of technology. Attending companies must arrange meetings and plan attendance at their own risk and preference. The Norwegian delegation can assist in booking accommodation at a discounted price, dependent on availability of rooms.
