The event focuses on the priorities, potential and opportunities for business innovation, partnerships and value creation in the marine or maritime sector in Europe.

Norway and Iceland support business innovation programmes in nine countries across Europe through the EEA and Norway Grants: Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Slovakia. The event is organised in cooperation with these partners but it is relevant for other European countries as well.

Participation is open for businesses, clusters, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders in the marine or maritime business sector.

    Practicalities

Blue Growth in the EEA and Norway Grants
The EEA and Norway Grants support business development, innovation and SMEs programmes in nine European countries: See all programmes here

In Blue Growth, the EEA and Norway Grants programmes support business cooperation, innovation, value creation and competitiveness in the marine and maritime sectors. Seas, oceans, coastal areas, rivers and lakes are drivers of the European economy. They have great potential for innovation, new technology and growth, but they are also at risk. The EEA and Norway Grants support projects that develop new technologies, processes or solutions contributing to a greener and more competitive Europe.

The Open Calls for Proposals on Blue Growth
The EEA and Norway Grants provides funding to projects through open calls for proposals. The first half of 2022 will see a boost of activities on blue growth - in open calls, events and other opportunities for cooperation. See an overview:
