EXPO 2020 DUBAI lasts for six months, from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
The purpose of world expositions is to promote international relations through uniting countries from around the world. Countries and companies come together to exchange ideas, showcase innovations and experience in business, education, research and technology.
The organisers expect approximately 25 million visitors, of which 30 percent from the UAE and 70 percent from other parts of the world.
Norway’s theme:
THE OCEAN – Pioneering Sustainable Ocean Solutions.
"Norway has large and important ocean industries, such as oil and gas, seafood and maritime sector. The government's goal is for Norway to be a leading ocean nation. We therefore need to take an international leadership role on important ocean issues and be at the arenas where solutions to the world's challenges are discussed. Expo 2020 will be such an arena," says HE Mr. Torbjørn RØE ISAKSEN, the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry.
