Innovation Norway, in collaboration with MIT, is organizing a “MIT Solve” design workshop to foster collaboration and innovation among cross-sector individuals from across the Arctic region to discuss and shape MIT Solve’s 2020 Global Challenges.

Each year, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) selects the most promising teams to become Solver teams who will drive transformational change. Their mission is to advance lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world’s most pressing problems.

MIT Solve is a marketplace for social impact with the purpose of finding tech entrepreneurs from around the world and broker partnerships across their global community to scale innovative work and promising solutions-driving lasting, transformational change.

If you think you have a solution to the world's biggest challenges, or want to take part in tackling the societal challenges of the future, then this workshop is for you!

Innovation Norway, in collaboration with MIT, is organizing an “MIT Solve” design workshop to foster collaboration and innovation among cross-sector leaders from across the Arctic region to discuss and shape MIT Solve’s 2020 Global Challenges.

Built around highly facilitated small-group discussions, these interactive sessions convene cross-sector leaders to discuss and shape MIT Solve’s annual set of Challenges. Solve’s staff are expert facilitators and help guide conversations to gain the most relevant insights.

This workshop is focusing on smart Arctic solutions and is especially relevant for people working within; 
- Mobility and logistics for extreme environments
- Smart societies and open data
- Oceans and blue economy
- Health

So if you are interested in participating, we are seeking ambitious and passionate individuals who are interested in contributing to these topics. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the global MIT Solve network and potentially enter the race to become a 2020 Solver Team.

Purpose

  • To foster collaboration and innovation among cross-sector induviduals from across the Arctic region to discuss and shape MIT Solve’s 2020 Global Challenges.
  • To communicate MIT Solve’s approach to open innovation, especially when applied to social impact issues, to leaders in the space.
  • To engage Innovation Norway’s key partners and/or innovators in MIT Solve’s open innovation process.

People

  • Target: 30-40 attendees.
  • Mid-to senior-level representatives from private, public, and philanthropic sectors.
  • Subject matter experts relevant to issues of health, learning, sustainability, and economic prosperity.
  • Select government and university representatives.
