Meet & Greet: FOMO ITALIA – current business opportunities in Italy

FOMO is not an Italian expression. But perhaps it should be right now. Many Norwegian businesses talk about markets such as the US and China. At the same time, major developments are taking place a little closer to home, in a market that often receives less attention than it deserves. Why should Norwegian companies care about Italy right now?
Italy is investing. Europe is transforming. New markets are opening up.
Italy is Europe’s third-largest economy, one of the continent’s key industrial nations and an increasingly important player in Europe’s energy transition. The country is investing heavily in renewable energy, electrification, energy infrastructure, energy efficiency and green industry. At the same time, Italy aims to become a strategic energy hub connecting Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.
For Norwegian companies, this could mean new customers, new partners and new market opportunities.
- But how does the market actually work?
- Where are the opportunities?
- Who are the key players?
- How do you get in touch with the right people?
- What does it take to achieve commercial success?
- And how do you actually do business in Italy?
To offer insight into these topics, we invite you to Meet & Greet Italy with our colleague Mauro Migliavacca from Innovation Norway Milan.
Mauro will share the latest insights into the Italian energy market and business culture, as well as practical advice for Norwegian companies looking to explore business opportunities in Italy.

In light of the security situation in Europe, we will also explore the growing links between energy, security of supply, preparedness, dual-use technologies and defence-related market opportunities.
