Nerø Sideri wins agricultural award

'We are incredibly proud and humbled to receive the 2024 Business Development Award in Telemark. There are so many talented businesses in our county, so this is a great honour and a wonderful surprise for us,' say award winners Ole Christoffer Røste and Trine Flaaten, who believe the award will motivate them to continue their work:
«The award gives us the motivation and energy to keep developing, investing and, above all, working hard every single day of the year. It helps raise the profile of organic production and cider from Telemark as a brand. It also showcases the region's fantastic apples as some of the finest produce in the world. That is something we can all be proud of.»
Won several awards
Ole Christoffer and Trine have been producing cider at the historic Nedre Røste farm in Hjuksebø, near Notodden, since 2019. Cider production and sales have grown steadily since then, and their products have already won both national and international awards. The farm is also attracting growing interest as a tourism destination.
Anniken Fægri Damm-Larsen, our Regional Director for Vestfold and Telemark, is clear that NeRø Cider is a worthy winner of this year's Rural Development Award for Telemark:
- NeRø Sideri is deeply committed to sustainability and makes responsible use of the farm's resources. Ole Christoffer and Trine test and develop a range of product lines and products, driven above all by a desire to give consumers the opportunity to enjoy high-quality, locally produced drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You can enjoy their products at home or in the beautiful surroundings of the farm, where they warmly welcome groups of all sizes. We at Innovation Norway Vestfold and Telemark are cheering NeRø Sideri on and wish them the best of luck in the next stage of the competition!
