'Siv Hauge takes low-value cuts from slaughtered animals and turns them into stock products aimed at a market with strong purchasing power. The products are 100 per cent organic and could have significant export potential,' says Sverre H. Bjørnstad, EVP for Innovation Norway Innlandet.

'Superkraftmat AS is a very deserving winner of this year’s Rural Development Award in Innlandet,' he says.

- Recognised our potential

Siv Hauge from Superkraftmat says she is both proud and moved to receive the award:

'This recognition warms my heart and is a tribute to the entire ecosystem around Superkraftmat. Thank you to our dedicated farmers, who supply ingredients of exceptional quality, our skilled partners and, not least, our loyal customers, who share our passion for genuine, nourishing food. Their trust and enthusiasm drive everything we do,' says Hauge, who received the award at the opening of Matlyst in Brumunddal.

'And a big thank you to Innovation Norway for recognising our potential and playing an important part in our success,' she says.

Food enthusiast and stock evangelist

Hauge has a background as a naturopath and nutritional therapist. She has long championed nourishing food made from organic Norwegian ingredients sourced from Norwegian farmers who work in harmony with nature, with a focus on animal welfare. Her extensive knowledge of nutrition, love of good food and deep commitment to Mother Earth inspired her to establish Superkaftmat.

When she experienced health problems herself and needed to understand why, she approached her studies from a holistic perspective.

'The food choices we make every day have a major impact,' she says.

- Clean food without chemicals should be for everyone!

With the slogan ‘power in your cup gives power to your body’, she runs her business in Nes, Hedmark, working with farmers who focus on animal welfare and organic production. In doing so, she also boosts these farmers’ sales and is seen as an important ambassador for the industry.
