We take responsibility for business delegations visiting Norway

We are now responsible for incoming business delegations to Norway and are developing a system that will allow international organisations to apply for support with visits to Norway. Our aim is to increase exports and investment and foster value-creating partnerships between Norwegian and international businesses.

Through us, international business representatives can request help organising visits to Norway and meetings with Norwegian businesses, as well as access information about relevant sectors, companies and locations. We can also organise meeting places for international business communities that want to explore opportunities to collaborate with Norwegian businesses.

'Visits by foreign business delegations offer Norway a valuable opportunity to attract foreign investment and promote Norwegian businesses. This can help increase trade and exports of Norwegian goods and services. In the current challenging trade policy environment, it is important to strengthen our business promotion efforts,' says Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie Myrseth.

The delegations may include representatives from international companies, government authorities and others with a commercial interest in Norway. We will prioritise delegations from key markets for Norwegian industry that can help increase trade, investment and value creation in Norway.

We will also assess and conduct an ESG evaluation of the business communities that apply.

We use our extensive network to facilitate introductions and meetings that align with the international business communities' goals, helping them build partnerships and exchange knowledge with Norwegian businesses.

Collaboration with Team Norway

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries has asked us to launch a framework for incoming delegations. We are working closely with Team Norway, which also includes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, Eksfin, Norwep and the Norwegian Seafood Council, as well as organisations such as business clusters, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO).

'We have long aimed to improve how we organise incoming delegations and make it easier for international organisations to visit Norway. This will strengthen cooperation between Norwegian and international organisations, increase Norwegian exports and attract more foreign investment,' says our CEO, Håkon Haugli.

The gateway for incoming delegations is available at BusinessNorway.com – our website for promoting Norwegian businesses and solutions.
