A total of 13 organisations will receive grants of up to NOK 3 million from us to develop and deliver innovation services for start-ups. The aim is to strengthen the organisations and stakeholders that help advance entrepreneurship and innovation in Norway.

The scheme prioritises organisations working with student innovation and initiatives that promote greater diversity among entrepreneurs.
'Norway needs promising start-ups that grow and develop innovative solutions. We see that many successful companies are part of ecosystems that include private-sector organisations, research institutes, universities and university colleges, banks, investors and public funding agencies. Together, these form a strong start-up ecosystem that we are both part of and committed to strengthening,' says Håkon Haugli, our CEO.

One in five applicants receives funding

A total of 65 organisations applied for grants, and 13 will receive funding. They are based across Norway, from Nordland to Vestland, Rogaland, Akershus and Buskerud. Oslo has the largest number of recipients, with five organisations, while two in Trøndelag and two in Vestland will receive funding.

‘Being an entrepreneur is challenging, and going it alone is even harder. That is why innovation hubs across the country are so important: they offer opportunities to build networks and learn from one another and from experienced entrepreneurs. The government wants to see even more growth companies succeed, and to achieve that, we depend on the vital work these hubs do,’ says Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie Myrseth.

The total funding available is NOK 19.2 million, and each company can receive up to NOK 3 million.
