India is one of the world's fastest-growing economies and was expected to become the world's most populous country in 2023. There are significant export opportunities for Norwegian companies in most sectors where Norway has a competitive advantage, and business cooperation is growing rapidly.

Key topics for the business conferences during this delegation include cooperation between Norway and India on the green transition, with a focus on:

  • Energy transition
  • Maritime industries
  • Circular economy

New contacts and business opportunities

The visit gives Indian and Norwegian companies an opportunity to make new connections and explore new business and investment opportunities through plenary sessions, a series of industry meetings and events.

Finland's Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Ville Skinnari, plans to visit India at the same time, accompanied by Finnish companies. Some parts of the business programme will therefore have a Nordic focus and will be open to Norwegian, Finnish and Indian companies.

The programme will take place in New Delhi on 8 and 9 February, and in Mumbai on 10 February.

Everyone who wishes to attend the business conference must register in advance. Registration closes on 1 February 2023.
