NHO and Innovation Norway strengthen their partnership
Norwegian companies must navigate an increasingly complex world. The war in Ukraine, high energy and commodity prices, supply challenges in global value chains, growing geopolitical tensions, inflation and rising interest rates are creating greater uncertainty for businesses. NHO and we at Innovation Norway want to help ensure that Norwegian businesses are equipped to deliver effective solutions in relevant markets.
Today, our CEO Håkon Haugli met with NHO CEO Ole Erik Almlid to sign an agreement.
Increased exports
Our collaboration is particularly focused on the government's ambition to increase exports excluding oil and gas by at least 50 per cent by 2030. By strengthening our collaboration, we can help build new, robust export industries.
'NHO and we share a strong interest in helping Norwegian businesses increase their exports by 50% by 2030. Closer cooperation between NHO and us will enable both organisations to benefit from our combined knowledge and networks,' says Ole Erik Almlid, CEO of NHO.
Our CEO, Håkon Haugli, highlights that we are strengthening our collaboration at regional, national and international levels.
'To achieve our shared ambitions and make the strongest possible contribution to the development of Norwegian business and industry, we need to work more closely together and draw on each other's strengths at regional, national and international levels. Regionally, we will strengthen our cooperation through joint analyses of the state of Norwegian business and industry. Nationally, we aim to further develop our cooperation on green business models, among other areas. At European level, we will establish joint forums for cooperation in Brussels and develop shared strategies for engaging with the EU. Globally, we will work together to increase Norwegian exports and deliver on the government's ambitions. We look forward to building on our already strong partnership with NHO.'
