'This loan scheme can help advance innovative, green industrial projects in the growth and scaling phase. For some time, we have seen a clear need among businesses for greater access to risk capital. Together with other finance providers, our innovation loans can help companies carry out major new projects. In the long term, this could have a significant impact on value creation in Norway. We can now fulfil our role as a green industrial bank even more effectively,' says our CEO, Håkon Haugli.

Green industrial financing is part of the government's Green Industrial Initiative, which aims to create attractive jobs, value and prosperity for the future, reduce emissions and support the green transition. By developing industry in Norway, the government also aims to make supply chains that are vital to the green transition less vulnerable. All projects must include private financing.

A scheme for large-scale projects

'Norway has a world-class industrial sector and highly skilled professionals who will help us navigate a major transition. But we cannot tackle these challenges with yesterday's tools. Green industrial financing is a powerful instrument that will help create jobs and bring innovative green industrial projects to life,' says Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie Myrseth.

The scheme is aimed specifically at large-scale industrial projects. Businesses that receive loans must be registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre and operate in Norway, and the projects must have the potential to increase value creation in Norway.

Builds its own team

Financing large and complex industrial projects requires specialist expertise. We are therefore recruiting employees from across Norway to join a new team that will provide advisory and funding. We will also soon bring in external expertise to strengthen the team and meet companies' needs.

We invite companies, banks and investors involved in major green industrial projects to get in touch with our new loans team.

We have extensive experience with loan schemes and working with private banks and national and international funding agencies. Our work on Green Industrial Financing builds on our experience of managing similar schemes.
