Brennevinsgrova wins the Rural Development Award in Møre og Romsdal

Brennevinsgrova AS, a leading producer of craft gin, aquavit and whisky, has received our 2024 Business Development Award for Møre og Romsdal. The award recognises the company’s achievements in brand building, innovation and local value creation.
'We are incredibly grateful for this recognition,' says Harald Strømmegjerde, founder of Brennevinsgrova AS.
«This motivates us to continue creating unique products that reflect the flavours of Sunnmøre.»
Tradition and innovation
Harald Strømmegjerde founded Brennevinsgrova AS in 2019 on his family farm in Straumgjerde, Sunnmøre. His passion for traditional methods and local ingredients has inspired products that have won several national and international awards. By using local ingredients such as raspberries from Valldal, kelp from Herøy and crystal-clear water from the glaciers of the Sunnmøre Alps, the company has made its mark and won several prestigious awards.
Brand building
CEO Harald Strømmegjerde is the driving force behind the Brennevinsgrova brand. The bottle design draws clear inspiration from the wild, rugged landscape of the Sunnmøre Alps, while the labels highlight the local ingredients and the craftsmanship behind the product.
Our Regional Director for Møre og Romsdal, Helge Gjerde, says he is impressed by this year's award winner:
'We are proud to present this year's Business Development Award to Brennevinsgrova AS. Harald Strømmegjerde has done an impressive job of building a strong brand that combines tradition and innovation. Brennevinsgrova has not only created high-quality products, but also contributes to local value creation,' says Gjerde.
