'Building speed and scale – Designing your growth machinery' is a hands-on workshop for Norwegian companies on 20 October 2025, from 09:45 to 15:30 as part of Oslo Innovation Week (OIW) 2025.

Learn from experts, connect with other ambitious startup leaders, and unlock your company's full potential.

Who can apply to join?

This workshop is designed for ambitious Norwegian scale-ups in any industry pursuing a significant market opportunity. To get the most from the workshop, your scale-up should have a clear indication of product–market fit and be ready to systematise your commercial operations and business.

We welcome two participants from each company, preferably founders and/or other C-level executives. The workshop is limited to ten companies, and we are looking for companies that meet the following criteria:

  • have paying commercial customers for a complete, commercially available product, with repeatable sales; and
  • are pursuing a significant or substantial international market opportunity in any industry, and
  • have ambition for rapid growth

We will assess each applicant company’s overall readiness for rapid growth and compare it with other applicants.

To get most value we expect all participating companies to complete some preparatory tasks beforehand.

What will you gain?

In this intensive session, you'll learn the principles of systems thinking for scaling. Our expert facilitators will guide you through the process of visualising your business as a dynamic system of functions and assets, identifying key drivers and understanding how they work together to drive growth and competitiveness.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have an operational flowchart – a visual blueprint of your company's value and revenue generation process. This blueprint will streamline current processes and serve as a tool for ongoing optimisation. You'll also identify critical metrics for each asset, which could form the basis of an executive dashboard that provides a clear view of business performance and areas for improvement.

Solid scaling competence

The core content of this workshop is building on more than ten years of experience from Innovation Norway’s scaling program EMNY* in New York, where our international scaling experts and their network of mentors have helped a great number of companies scale internationally.

Our Kristianne Paasche will lead the workshop, building on the excellent feedback she received when she ran it at OIW last year. She will share practical tools to help your company take its next step – what you might call a scale-up blueprint.

Guest speakers will be

Silicon Valley-based Martina Lauchengco, Partner at Costanoa Ventures and the author of "LOVED - How to Rethink Marketing for Tech Products".
