Who has received an offer of funding from us?
The table below shows the companies we have approved funding for and the type of funding they will receive. You can narrow your search by funding scheme, year and county, or search by company name.
Please note that customers on the list may have declined the offer of funding or otherwise reduced the amount awarded. The overview does not include companies that have received advisory services or participated in any of our courses and programmes. All funding awards exclude EEA assignments and interest subsidies.
We have visualised the main industry sectors and added a brief explanation. The figures do not match the total shown in the table. In the visualisation, we have excluded all funding commitments where we do not have an industry code for the customer (for example, individual customers).
Questions and answers about the table
The data in annual reports is locked each year and is not affected by subsequent changes. The table shows all funding commitments in the form of loans and grants. After receiving a commitment, the customer may have declined it or otherwise reduced the committed amount.
The visualisation only shows data linked to the customer's industry code, where available. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about industry codes or main industry sectors for individual customers.
Due to requirements relating to collateral, we register most farmers who receive grants or loans from us using their national identity number rather than an organisation number. They will appear in the table with the industry code 'unspecified', but will not be shown in the visualisation.
This applies particularly to those who have received grants for traditional farming. Farmers who run supplementary businesses will normally be registered as a limited company with an organisation number.
As all other funding commitments are awarded in Norwegian kroner, we have chosen to present allocations from the EEA Grants in a separate report (page 2).
The EEA and Norway Grants give Norwegian companies the opportunity to secure project funding by partnering with a company in the Baltic states, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece or Portugal. Norwegian companies cannot apply for funding themselves, but can participate as project partners. The applicant and project lead will always be the company in the country targeted by the EEA and Norway Grants. As the international partner applies for and manages the project, the funding awards are recorded in the database in euros.
Interest subsidies are a funding instrument reserved for loan-financed investments in agriculture. The amount shown in the report (page 3) is the loan amount eligible for an interest subsidy – not the subsidy awarded. The actual interest subsidy is calculated using an interest rate set annually. Data is only available up to and including 2015, as the scheme was discontinued in 2016.
For technical reasons, we did not record the actual interest subsidy paid to the farmer, but rather the loan amount on which the interest subsidy was calculated.
The table shows the industry code under which the company is registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre. Please note that companies may have registered a different industry from the one they currently operate in or are known for.
We also provide funding to individuals (particularly in agriculture) and to international companies (through the EEA and Norway Grants). These do not have an industry code in the Brønnøysund Register Centre, so their industry is shown as unspecified.
The decision-making unit is the unit within our organisation that decides whether to fund a project. Most projects are decided at regional level by the relevant regional office. If the amount applied for exceeds the case officer's decision-making authority, the application is referred to the regional office's credit committee. Particularly large applications are decided by the main credit committee, chaired by our Credit Director at our head office in Oslo.
We primarily award funding directly to businesses to enable promising innovation projects. In some cases, we work more indirectly by organising courses, events and similar activities. Some of the funding for these activities appears in the table because various departments within our organisation are listed as recipients.
Funding allocated to us may also be more technical in nature. One example is the transfer of funds to loss provisions for our innovation loan schemes, which our Financing and Restructuring department carries out at the end of the year.
