Our internship programme gives Norwegian students the opportunity to spend a semester at selected offices in the USA and Asia. The offices offering internships vary. We also offer internships at our offices in Europe (excluding the UK) for students who are eligible for the Erasmus+ exchange programme.

Who is it for?

  • You must be a student enrolled in an ongoing course of study during the same semester as the internship.
  • The internships are only open to students who can work as interns for the entire semester
  • You must have a Norwegian national identity number/ID number and an account with a Norwegian bank

What do you get?

  • Insight into the opportunities and challenges Norwegian companies face in international markets
  • Valuable experience that you can apply to your studies and future career
  • We cover your return flight to the host country
  • Interns do not receive a salary, but we provide a grant that covers some of the costs associated with their stay. We calculate the grant in accordance with the special agreement on allowances, benefits and remuneration in the Norwegian Foreign Service.
  • Students follow the standard working hours of the relevant office and have weekends and public holidays off.

How do you apply?

Internships are advertised on innovasjonnorge.no and FINN.no twice a year, in January/February and August/September respectively.
