Advisory panel

We convene advisory panels for large and complex grant applications. The panel advises both you and us on how to take the project forward. It consists of three external specialists with expertise in the relevant technology, industry and market. Our own experts may also take part.

The panel provides advice only and does not make the final decision. Our decision-maker does. We select candidates for the advisory panel in consultation with you. All panel members sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving information about the project.

The panel session takes place as a video meeting on Teams and lasts up to three hours. Your company will attend the first part of the meeting.

You may invite external representatives or observers to attend the meeting, such as advisers or financial contributors. You are responsible for ensuring that these third parties are bound by any confidentiality requirements deemed necessary, either through an agreement or a statutory duty of confidentiality.

For Innovation Contracts, representatives from the pilot customer will normally attend the meeting together with your company. You will have 30 minutes to present your project. See our presentation tips below. We recommend that you come well prepared. During the following hour, the panel members will have the opportunity to ask you questions about your presentation and offer recommendations or advice on your project where relevant.

The second part of the panel meeting takes place without you present. The panel members will discuss your project and company freely and advise us on how to proceed with your application. The panel's input is confidential and will not be shared with your company. Afterwards, the panel members submit a written assessment using an evaluation form. We use this form solely to process your application and do not make it public.

We compensate panel members for their contribution at the applicable rates. See the alternative consultancy agreements below. If we invite you in your capacity as a representative of an organisation, please invoice us through your employer and use the consultancy agreement for companies. If you participate as an independent adviser, please use the consultancy agreement for individuals.
