Norwegian companies invited to join a delegation to Denmark in June
As part of Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja's official visit to Denmark on 15 and 16 June 2023, business conferences will bring together Norwegian and Danish companies. The conferences will focus on green energy, carbon capture and storage, health technology, life sciences, the defence industry and green maritime solutions.
Norway and Denmark aim to lead the way in the green transition and sustainability. The business delegation in June will give Norwegian and Danish companies an opportunity to exchange ideas, present solutions and build networks.
'This is a valuable opportunity for Norwegian companies in green energy, the maritime sector, health and defence to showcase Norwegian solutions in areas where success is vital. Norway and Denmark – and Europe as a whole – face the same challenges. We believe many Norwegian companies will see the value of joining us in Denmark,' says Håkon Haugli, our CEO.
Good neighbours
The King and Queen's visit highlights the close relationship between Norway and Denmark as good neighbours. Our countries are close allies, sharing strong common values and interests and working closely together on politics, the economy and culture. The security situation in Europe also makes this visit important.
'We will see even closer cooperation between the Nordic countries in the years ahead. One way we contribute is by creating arenas where Norwegian businesses can meet relevant partners. We have solutions that Denmark needs, and vice versa – and together, we have the expertise and technology the world needs. Royal couple and ministers
At the invitation of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe, Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja will make an official visit to Denmark on 15 and 16 June 2023.
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will accompany the King and Queen at the business conference. Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeldt, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland and Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre will attend, along with Denmark's Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard, Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov and Minister for Nordic Cooperation Louise Schack Elholm.
We are responsible for leading and organising the programme for the accompanying business delegation.
We will confirm participation on a rolling basis. Places are limited, so we will prioritise participants who meet the relevant criteria and whose work aligns with the programme's themes.
