Grants for fruit and berry plantations

Farmers planning to invest in fruit and berry plantations.
Priorities may vary between counties. Read the regional guidelines for your region.
- Preparing and planting plots for fruit and berries, including costs for site preparation and groundwork, wildlife fencing, irrigation systems, crop covers and polytunnels.
- Costs for plants, planting, trellising systems, etc.
- Costs for plants with a short productive life, such as annual strawberry plants and long-cane raspberry plants, are not eligible costs.
All applications concerning fruit production for consumption, except market gardens and small-scale production, must include a production plan approved by a producer organisation (Gartnerhallen, Norgrønt or Produsentforeningen 1909).
We can provide grants for:
- Up to 35 per cent of approved costs for new planting for conventional production.
- Up to 50 per cent of approved costs for new planting for organic production.
1. Complete and submit your application
You can find the agricultural application form by logging in to 'My page' with BankID. We will ask you to provide the information and documentation we need to assess your project. In the application, you can use the 'Talk to an adviser' button to ask for guidance before submitting it. As a general rule, you must not start the project before submitting your application. However, due to long delivery times for fruit trees and similar items, you may order these at your own risk.
2. Assessment
We process applications on an ongoing basis, and several people assess each application. Our guidelines and regional priorities determine which projects we can fund. We receive many applications and have limited funds, so we cannot approve every application.
3. Decision
Your customer adviser will present your case to the decision-maker. Once we have made a decision on your application, we will notify you by email, and you can find the decision on My page. If we offer you funding, make sure you understand the terms and how we will disburse the funds.
