For ten years, our London office has helped ambitious Norwegian technology companies with the potential to grow rapidly in international markets. TEA stands for Tech City Executive Accelerator and is a scale-up programme for leaders of Norwegian technology companies.

The participating companies share an ability to commercialise innovative solutions that use large volumes of data and, increasingly, AI as a catalyst for the green transition and growth. When TEA began, the focus was on 'Big Data', while AI has gained greater prominence since 2019.

Over the same period, London has established itself as Europe's leading hub for technology companies and provides a natural springboard into global markets for Norwegian businesses working in areas such as AI and IoT.

TEA aims to give participants a strong network and deeper insight into strategic opportunities, helping them build their companies faster for further international growth and scaling. They also develop strategic partnerships and gain ideas for positioning their companies internationally.

The companies

The vast majority of companies that have taken part in the competence-building programme have subsequently performed very well in terms of revenue and employment.

Examples of companies that have taken part include Cognite, with its platform for managing large volumes of real-time and historical data from industrial facilities; Cyviz, with its audiovisual solutions for businesses; and Kiona, with its cost-effective approach to reducing energy consumption in buildings.

Signicat is also on its way to becoming a European leader in electronic identification, authentication and electronic signatures. Two other examples are Exabel, which provides alternative data to investors and asset managers, and Attensi, which specialises in game-based simulations.

TEA is one of our three scaling programmes, alongside TINC (Tech Incubator Silicon Valley) and EMNY (ExecutiveMarketing New York)

We are now recruiting new companies for this spring's TEA programme.
