We answer frequently asked questions about careers and our application process.

How do I apply for a job with Innovation Norway?

On our Careers at Innovation Norway page, you will find a link to our current vacancies. If you find a role you would like to apply for, follow the link in the job advertisement to our Webcruiter recruitment platform. Enter your personal details and attach your CV and application. You can also attach certificates, references and other relevant documents.

Which documents should I include with my application?

In addition to your application, please upload your CV. You are also welcome to attach diplomas, references and any other documents that may be relevant to the position.

What is a public list of applicants?

We are required to draw up a public list of applicants for our advertised vacancies, pursuant to section 25 of the Norwegian Freedom of Information Act. The list includes every applicant's name, age, gender, municipality of residence and current job title. To be exempted from the list, you must demonstrate that inclusion would have specific adverse consequences.

If you wish to remain anonymous, tick the relevant box in the application form and provide a detailed explanation in the comments field. After the application deadline, our HR team will contact you to discuss your request. If we do not approve your request, you will have the opportunity to withdraw your application. We do not publish the list of applicants on our own initiative. However, we will disclose it if other applicants or external parties request access.

Can I receive the extended list of applicants?

We are not subject to the provisions of the Public Administration Act; see section 6 of the Innovation Norway Act. This means that the provisions on extended lists of applicants in section 15 of the Public Administration Regulations do not apply to us. We therefore do not publish extended lists of applicants, only the public list of applicants that we are required to prepare under section 25 of the Freedom of Information Act.

Do you offer internships and graduate positions at Innovation Norway?

We have a dedicated graduate programme for recent graduates. We publish information about it when applications are open.

In partnership with a range of educational institutions, we offer an exciting internship programme for students at selected international offices once a year. We normally advertise these opportunities during the first quarter under vacancies and on the institutions' own careers portals. The internships take place the following autumn.

We also offer internships for students who qualify for the Erasmus+ exchange programme.

Where can I send an unsolicited application?

Unfortunately, we do not accept speculative applications, so keep an eye on our vacancies page.
