Bionova – grants for the bioeconomy and climate action

Is your company developing solutions that create more value from marine, agricultural or forestry resources? Processing bioresources into higher-value products and using side streams to create new products can unlock significant opportunities.

The grant supports the testing and introduction of new technology in agriculture. The aim is to make production more profitable and more climate- and environmentally friendly.

We can provide grants for investments in renewable energy solutions based on bioenergy or heat recovery on farms.

You can receive grants for bioenergy facilities that sell heat. You can also receive grants for feasibility studies and preliminary projects. If your project does not involve significant further processing of your own resources, we recommend applying to Enova.

We can provide investment grants for renewable energy solutions in greenhouses, including bioenergy and heat recovery.

You can receive funding for facilities that produce biogas, heat, electricity, biofuels and biochar from biomass feedstocks. You can also receive funding for projects that develop and test new production technologies and on-farm solutions designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make the industry more competitive.

We can support investments in site development, storage facilities and drying equipment for wood fuel chips where there is market demand. Our aim is to increase production capacity, expand the range of wood chip grades available and improve access to biofuel in Norway.
